mountain bike lessons and tuition at glentress

"The instructors are very helpful without being patronising. Their enthusiasm is really infectious and encouraged me to tackle routes that I would not have considered on my own."

- Linda Shaw, Edinburgh

Join RIDELINES for a one or two-day introductory mountain biking course. Our tuition will ensure you gain a full grasp of the bike-handling techniques that will set you on your way to a seriously speedy mountain biking habit.

2011 courses are scheduled - see RIDELINES website for full details and dates for scheduled mountain bike courses.

Mountain Biking Skills Course - INTRODUCTORY

Our introductory courses are designed to take participants from 'blue' beginner level to take on all 'blue' graded mountain bike trails and ride them with confidence and move onto 'red' graded trails and even some 'black' graded features. All courses are run at Glentress, the best trail centre in the UK and only 20 miles South of Edinburgh.

WHATS COVERED IN THE COURSE ?

There are a set of core techniques that will allow you to pick up the basics of mountain biking in a day and have a comprehensive skill set in a weekend.

Its all about starting with great building blocks to gain increased confidence and ability on a mountain bike. We can ensure you increase your mountain biking skillset in a laid back and fun environment.

RIDELINES will build your skills and give you the absolute best foundation for tackling the trails. Our skills courses are pitched exactly to the group on the day so you always get a challenge, and we'll definately stretch your comfort zones but we'll never push you beyond your ability.

The highlight of the weekend is a ride on a suitably graded route to pull together all the techniques you have learnt over the session.
