THE CLAN AT SCHOOLS
In June 2008, The Clan set off on a two week tour of schools in Scotland for Cycling Scotland to spread the message that cycling to school is cool. You can see a video of one of the shows on our media page. We ran our Big Bang experience at each school, with a special primary 6/7 focussed show. The tour was a massive success with impressive feedback and research showed that there was a REAL IMPACT on numbers of kids cycling and specifically cycling to school. Off the back of this successful tour, we would love to bring the success to your school this year. Some lucky primary schools out there will experience the Cycling Scotland tour again this year, however why not consider bringing the Clan to your school this year?
Our school-focussed show is unique and offers the most exciting day at school for pupils, whilst spreading the message that cycling is a fun, healthy and environmentally friendly transport. On an average day we would arrive during your morning break to meet and greet the person in charge. We would then build our rig during morning lessons ready for a lunchtime show where all the kids in the school can enjoy our amazing skills and create a great buzz around your playground. There is then the option for up to 80 pupils to take part in our fun cycling activities in the afternoon, coached by the team. This is an experienced proved to get kids enthused by a fun way to get fit. We can also do a smaller show in your gym hall which can be a good option during winter weather periods. We'll even change our tyres to make sure your floor isn't damaged!
Why not consider bringing the Clan to your school open day? Our show is a guaranteed hit with kids and will also show prospective parents that your school values kids getting active and promotes environmentally-friendly alternatives to car travel. Advertising the presence of The Clan will put your school ahead of the pack. There will be hundreds of kids out there bugging their parents to let them come with you to the 'cool' open day school.
Bringing The Clan show to your school and promoting cycling targets some of the big challenges facing our next generation - mental, physical and environmental health. Get in touch now to start the ball rolling...
