OUR AMAZING STUNT SHOWS AND OTHER SERVICES

For 2012 we have taken everything we have learned about what the public love to watch and what really works at an event and have rolled it into our most impressive stunt shows yet. We have taken the benefits of our compact trials shows and added the jaw-dropping ramps from our bigger shows, resulting in an exciting new format for us. Essentially we have combined all of our previous shows to make one show which is more thrilling for the public and better value for our clients than we have ever offered before. Wowsers!

Also key for this year is that every show we do this year can be interactive. That is because not only have our shows been re-vamped, but we will also offer interactive sessions in between our shows (at no extra cost !!!) to help pass on the enthusiasm and skills of our riders to the general public. Gone are our add-on have-a-go options as separate products, instead we can bring in partners to add additional tried and tested have-a-go activities alongside us.

For those of you familiar with the multiple Clan shows of the past, we now have one show at the heart of every Clan performance, which has features tailored to the type of your event. To clarify, here are the packages we are offering for 2012, listed by your event type...

Performances: 3 x 20-minute shows per day | 3 x interactive sessions

Requirements: 15m x 25m space | Mainly level surface | Vehicle access

Features: Up-close views of massive stunts | Hi-tempo commentary | Kids meet & learn from our riders | Use our performance space and PA between shows for other features | Be amazed!

Examples: Tarbert Seafood Festival | Caithness Games | Cowdenbeath Gala

Costs: £1399 + VAT per day + Fuel

Local events are the cornerstone of our business. Since 2008 we've enjoyed hospitality in every part of Britain and our riders have been welcomed into the heart of local communities. The goal of our organisation is to travel to events and show cycling in an exciting way, and enthuse people to take up cycling themselves. Local events allow us to do that and that is why we have made sure that local events can make the most of our shows. Specifically, our local event commitments:

No hidden costs: We will quote you the exact cost of executing our entire package, the cost of VAT and the fuel charge for events a fair distance from our base. After that, everything is included and the only thing you need to provide is space. We will bring power, PA, barriers and all the equipment required to run our shows and have-a-go activities.

You can use our equipment. We realise having a quality PA system that you can use is a great bonus when you can use it for your own purposes as well. This means if you would like to use our area as a main focus and announce the day’s events, that is absolutely fine. You can even present other acts in front of our rig. This has been done lots at local events with dance demonstrations, comedy acts etc

We will bring people to your event. When you book us we will give you access to our promotional resources such as photos for your posters, text for your website, a sample press release to get the word out etc. We will make sure you have everything you need to get people excited about seeing us and about coming to your event. And at the event itself you will be able to gather lots of exciting photographs and videos to help promote the following year’s event and keep the buzz going.

We will have a real impact on your community. At smaller events our riders always spend the time to interact with the public and indeed participate in the other activities at the event. Our riders are by no means professionals that appear three times for 15 minutes, they are down-to-earth, friendly people who just happen to be unbelievable stuntmen.

Iain is the man to contact to start the ball rolling. Even if you just want a bit of advice before you know if you can afford to book us, we're happy to help.

Our first ever show in early 2008 whilst managing the Bike Arena at the National Outdoors Show at Birmingham NEC and it was a roaring success - since then we've done dozens of national events indoors and out.

We understand the different needs of large event organisers and ensure that our service suits your needs. We understand that nothing can be left to chance at large events and that often you have stricter guidelines to work under. That is why we leave no stone uncovered with our attention to detail, especially when it comes to paperwork. Bespoke method statements and risk assessments are no problem. Working and adapting to strict (yet often 'fluid') timetables is not a problem. And all of that H&S paperwork you require from every supplier - it is sat waiting for you to download from our website alongside all of the promotional materials you require.

We understand that our service does not begin when the public arrive. We are here to support your promotional campaigns and to help spread the word about your event via our fanbase. We can help with promotional stunts, hi-res photographs, media interviews etc etc. Anything that helps you promote your event helps promote ourselves too.

We are experienced in working with your partners at the event. Re-branding our equipment is not a problem. Communicating your key messages through our shows is also fine. Sharing our PA equipment is fine. Basically we pride ourselves on doing more than we need to do, to ensure you want us back time and time again! That's why we have done many national shows for 3 years running or more. We'd love some new big projects, so please contact Iain to discuss your event.

ARENAS

The Clan promoting cycling to all ages and abilities

Event Types: Any event with a central performance arena/main ring catering for multiple acts

Performances: Up to 3 shows per day of up to 30 minutes each

Requirements: 4x4 vehicle & trailer access to main arena

Features: Specially-designed rig transported into & out of arenas | 10 minute build & break-down time | Adaptable show to suit time slots

Examples: Kirkcudbright Tattoo | Haddington Show | ITV 'Sing If You Can' stage

Costs: base charge £1399 + VAT per day + fuel, tailored quote available to your specifications

As the popularity of our show, and indeed the scale of our stunts has grown, so the demand for us to appear alongside more traditional 'main ring' entertainment has grown too. This has caused us a couple of specific problems, which we have successfully solved:

  1. Our riders want to ride a rig that can best show off their amazing skills at every event. This usually requires around an hour to build static platforms and ramps to ensure the best (and safest) environment for this. So back to the drawing board for us and we have come up with a specific rig designed around our vehicle and trailer. This gives us the height we need for the big stunts and also with our features attached to our trailer and Russian-doll style platforms we can drive into an arena and within 10 minutes our show is underway (or packed away)! Through careful design we have packed enough features into the rig to give a show of up to 30 minutes without any 'filler'. So give us a timeslot of between 30 minutes and an hour in your arena and we can work our magic up to three times per day!
  2. Our show is best viewed up-close and personal with people (especially kids) cricking their necks at our riders in the air and gasping with shock as the bikes fly through the air a couple of metres away from their faces! In a way every main ring attraction has this challenge and we have adapted our rig so that the public can appreciate the stunts from a distance with a clear view from all angles. We would also love to work with your event site to create a specific area of the crowd where we can create in effect a 'kids screaming zone' so we can still get up-close and interact with the most enthusiastic part of the crowd. High-fives and give-aways needn't be sacrificed for an Arena show. This has worked great at previous shows and the whole crowd feed off the enthusiasm of the young'uns.

A separate build/practice/warm-up area is important to ensure perfect preparation, however this can be in a car park or off-site if required. If there is another part of your event site available, then we can engage with the public between shows and run some interactive sessions. Many kids hang out with us and enjoy the riders warming-up and chatting to them as much as they do the actual stunt show.

Hopefully we have described how our Arena Show is a well thought-out show in its own right and we have thought about how to deliver all of the benefits of our 'typical' show. We would obviously love to discuss the specific quirks of your event site, timetable and vibe before you decide if we are the attraction to go with. Simply get in touch with us, we'd love to hear from you.

CYCLING INITIATIVES

The Clan show can be altered to suit an arena

Event Types: Sustainable Transport Initiatives | Educational Shows | Cycling Festivals

Performances: Tailored to promote your key messages & timetable

Requirements: negotiated depending on scale of performance required and your event site

Features: 5 years of experience with proven results | Full branding opportunities | Tailored presentations to promote your key messages | The most exciting way to promote cycling to all ages

Examples: York Cycling Festival | Cycling Scotland Campaigns | Sustrans Projects | School Shows

Costs: base charge £1399 + VAT per day + expenses, tailored quote available to your specifications

One of our first projects in 2008 was to tour schools to promote cycling as an exciting, healthy activity and transport choice. We are about to do the same for the fifth year in a row. The combination of our stunt shows and interactive activities had an outstanding effect on cycling uptake. Since then not only have we done over 100 school shows, we have been hired by national cycling and sustainable transport organisations to do the same for them. And it works.

Other than perhaps an evening with Chris Hoy for everyone, it is difficult to imagine a better way of gaining initial interest in cycling, than showing the most skilful cyclists in the UK doing unbelievable stunts right in front of their eyes! Also The Clan engage much further with the public than purely 'wow, that's crazy i can't do that!'. Indeed as the personalities of our riders come through, as they chat to the public and let them try stunt bikes, slowly those barriers break down and the public (especially under-18s) realise that our riders are normal humans with super-human skills and they are simply REALLY enthusiastic about riding bikes. Our show is a great 'hook' and also educates people as to the benefits of cycling and also how to get into fun forms of cycling.

Our show has been re-branded and our commentary tailored to communicate the key messages of cycling initiative brands. We can even handle the re-branding process as we have done many times in the past to make your job easy. Often sustainable transport events book us first as then they know they have a focal point to their event and a good source of press coverage. Our show works as a great central feature in an educational event and creates the enthusiasm in the public as they filter out into information stands.

As a passionate cyclist, Clan manager and MC Iain will be happy to understand and communicate your project to others to ensure that your budget is well- spent on The Clan. Simply get in touch to start the ball rolling...

Quite simply, The Clan is one amazing looking stunt team! As you can see from the photos and videos of us, our team can do some amazing things on bicycles. Our team are five of the most enthusiastic, inspiring extreme sports people you will meet and are ideal for creating the feel-good factor for a media project.

Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at MB7. Allow us to help in the developmental stage of your project and we can add some flair to your great ideas. Our riders can be hired by the day to perform stunts for media work, or as an entire team to create a draw to the brand you are working with.

This is why both the BBC and ITV have chosen The Clan for high profile television shows. Broadcast live, our appearance on Children In Need in Scotland was a highlight of the show (and that's the producer's words!). We have also worked with ITV on their 'Sing If You Can' game show. We were brought in after they had compared stunt shows, they wanted the biggest and best! Not only that but they even brought us back for the show finale to do a special routine with Stacey Solomon, we were that popular (if not with Stacey). These two projects have given us a live TV audience of over 1 million and pre-recorded of nearly 10 million.

So The Clan really is the ONLY team to consider if you want to have the biggest impact and most professional, skilful professionals on board. Please get in touch now if you would like to discuss an idea.
