MB7 TIMBERTRAIL INFORMATION
The
MB7 Timber Trail is an interlocking series of “north
shore” style balance beams designed to be ridden
on a mountain bike and is the centre for fun at many
festivals and events. Designed by mountain bikers
and made from locally sourced timber, The Timber Trail
is a useful tool for teaching and honing core Mountain
Biking skills or even an obstacle course on bikes,
ideal for providing “have a go” fun at
festivals and events for all kids and those bigger
kids we call adults. See Promo Video Here.
HOW
DOES IT WORK?
The
Timber Trail is designed to be flexible to suit different
needs. Each section of the Timber Trail is roughly
2m long and the unique interlocking system allows
us to set up different challenges with varying degrees
of difficulty. Nice and easy for total beginners and
kids to much more difficult for the talented riders
and those determined to meet the challenge. Can you
“nail” the Timber Trail?
IS
IT SAFE?
The
Timber Trail is very safe as it is only ever a few
inches off the ground. It is also organised, set up
and run by SMBLA qualified Mountain Bike Leaders/Tutors
so expert tuition, guidance and supervision is all
part of the experience and service. Our tutors are
also First Aid trained should the rare case of “a
skint knee” occur. Helmets are compulsory and
supplied.
Each
individual event is fully risk assessed by our SMBLA
staff and full liability insurance is included in
the package. We had 500 visitors to the Timber Trail
at the ‘Outdoor Show’ in Birmingham over
3 days with no injuries.
WHAT
DOES IT COST?
£600
per day or £1000 for two days. (plus travel
costs of 20p/mile) For this you get the Timber Trail
delivered to your event and set up as required. We
will provide all members of staff plus a fleet of
bikes and helmets suitable for kids and adults and are free for all to use on the Timber Trail.
